Our Centres

Nurturing spaces for learning and growth

Each Rātā Educare centre is unique, but all share the same heart: providing a warm, safe environment where pēpi and tamariki are loved, valued and encouraged to thrive.

Our centres combine qualified teachers, low child-to-carer ratios, nutritious meals and child-centred learning with the values of respect, connection and joy.

Why the name Rātā

The name Rātā is inspired by the native New Zealand rātā tree, which blooms around Christmas — a time that reminds us of hope, joy and new growth in Christ.

The rātā begins life supported by another tree before putting down its own strong roots, symbolising how tamariki flourish through caring relationships.

It is also a source of life and shelter for many native birds and creatures, reflecting how our centres create safe, nurturing spaces for tamariki and whānau to grow and belong.
